VP of Sales, North America (Shearwater Group PLC)

The Opportunity:

Due to the ambitious growth plans of Shearwater Group (SWG) in North America we are looking for a self-motivated sales professional to join the team. You will join a small team of US based employees representing our portfolio companies and will be supported by group resources to drive new business acquisitions in target sectors and accounts. As a VP of Sales you will be responsible for selling the full range of services provided by SWG primarily to new clients in the US, achieving the revenue targets and Sales KPI’s that are set. Your focus is to gain revenue growth for the business through organically growing your account base, focusing on building long-term, sustainable relationships with existing contacts, but increasingly uncovering new decision makers and for the SWG portfolio of services.

The Challenge:

  • Build long term, sustainable relationships with new clients in order to create pipeline, close business and support revenue growth for the Shearwater Group.
  • Construct diligent strategic account and opportunity plans to uncover client strategy and create opportunity for alignment of resilience services.
  • Target specific new logo customers who we do not currently work with, building pipeline and closing business in order to create and grow your own account base.
  • Work with each Group company MD to identify target accounts and sectors, in order to open new opportunities and revenue streams.
  • Work with marketing and sales management to build strong proposals and messaging that reflect our value proposition.
  • Overachieve against a defined set of targets and KPI’s and proactively report accurate revenue forecasts to your line manager.
  • Work alongside internal delivery teams in order to develop opportunities and ensure we close projects in a timely fashion and provide excellent service to our customers.

As a VP of Sales, you will:

  • Manage the full sales lifecycle to generate new opportunities in the US.
  • Attend client meetings and manage all aspects of the sales cycle to completion.
  • Research organisations and markets to develop new areas of opportunities within the account base.
  • Produce strategy and account development plans.
  • Work effectively across pre-sales, consultancy and management personnel in the sales cycle to ensure customer management and growth targets are met.
  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date records on lead activity in CRM to ensure effective lead development and accurate forecasting.
  • Achieve and exceed revenue targets and acquisition of new clients.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in field sales, new business acquisition and account management primarily with medium and large enterprises.
  • Experience in a recognised sales training/methodology discipline for account planning and sales cycle management (qualification).
  • Experience and good understanding of Identity Access Management and Data Security solutions, Penetration Testing Services, Business and Technology Risk assurance and advisory services.
  • Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets.
  • Experience building pipeline through multiple demand generation tactics (including but not restricted to LinkedIn Navigator).
  • Demonstrable knowledge and success in leading strategic commercial engagements.
  • Understanding of the key market drivers impacting cyber security.
  • Proven ability to foster strong relationships with senior decision makers, up to C level, through a consultative selling approach.
  • Experience and knowledge of cyber security and the challenges that executives face in today´s environment.
  • Sales Cycle and pipeline management, including accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Research and account planning experience.
  • Excellent presentation skills.

As a VP of Sales you will be responsible for selling our high capability Penetration Testing and Red Teaming services to new clients in the US, achieving the revenue targets and Sales KPI’s that are set. Your focus is to gain revenue growth for the business through organically growing your account base, focusing on building long-term, sustainable relationships with existing contacts, but increasingly uncovering new decision makers and for the Pentest portfolio of services.
